2. What data we process

2.1 Search alerts: your email address, the filters of your search (country, sector, region, language), the time and wording of your consent, and — for up to 48 hours — a shortened, one-way checksum of your IP address (not the address itself), which we use to limit mass sign-ups from a single connection. Purpose: notifying you about new matching listings. An alert is active as soon as you create it with your consent. Email delivery starts shortly; from then on you receive at most one email per alert per day with new matches, plus a short confirmation when you create an alert. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by email. When you unsubscribe, we delete all search alerts for your address.

2.2 Using the site: we collect pseudonymous usage statistics: page viewed and time, referring page, interactions (e.g. clicks on listings, opening the alert form), time on page and scroll depth. Without your consent nothing is stored on your device for this, and no IP address is stored. To count page views within one day per visitor, our server forms a shortened checksum from IP address, browser identifier, the date and a secret server key (a pseudonym); the IP address itself is not stored. Because the date is included, the same browser yields a different checksum every day — without your consent (2.3) you cannot be recognised across days. You can opt out with this link (stored in your browser).

2.3 Cookies (only with your consent): on your first visit a notice asks whether we may set a cookie. Only if you accept does your browser store the cookie ns_vid — a randomly generated identifier, valid for 12 months. We store it only with your page views (page, time) — not with searches, clicks, alerts or contact requests. It tells us whether a browser has visited on an earlier day, so we can count returning visits in our own statistics. No advertising, no sharing with third parties, no tracking across other websites. Your choice (yes or no) is stored in the cookie ns_consent (12 months) so we do not ask again on every page — this is strictly necessary. Legal basis for ns_vid: your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via Cookie settings (also at the bottom of every page); ns_vid is then deleted. Page-view data with the identifier is deleted after 90 days like all statistics; the record of your choice (yes/no, time) is kept for 13 months as proof.

2.4 Server logs: our hosting provider Cloudflare processes connection data (including IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site.

3. Legal bases

• Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6(1)(b) (performance of the requested service) — search alerts
• Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) — pseudonymous statistics without recognition across days, server logs, and the IP checksum protecting against abusive sign-ups
• Section 25(1) TDDDG with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) — the ns_vid cookie for counting returning visits

4. Recipients

• Supabase (database hosting, Frankfurt, Germany)

5. Retention

Statistics: 90 days, then deleted automatically. Search alerts: until you unsubscribe. IP checksum for alerts: 48 hours.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and the right to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). 7. Listings

Listings are aggregated from public business-transfer marketplaces with source attribution; all rights remain with the respective portals and sellers. We do not publish sellers’ personal contact details.
